Great SUV for the price.
This has been a fantastic vehicle. Overall, it gets good gas mileage - better than the Chevrolet sedan that it replaced. It has good versatility and a comfortable ride. Even when it automatically kicks into all-wheel-drive, it can easily get high centered on small amounts of snow, so that's a bit of a drawback. But it has good traction in nearly all weather conditions as long as one pays attention to having good tires and keeps up with maintenance issues such as wheel alignments. One big drawback is that the rear seat backs do not fold completely flat, which defeats one of the reasons that people buy SUVs in the first place - to be able to haul things around. Fortunately, technology has changed for things such as large televisions so it's not as much of an issue as it was a few years back to get larger purchases into the vehicle. But it still can be impossible for things that come in large boxes. The radio that comes standard with the vehicle is passable, but not anything outstanding. So if quality sound is important it is probably worth buying a different radio. The CRV handles well and is very responsive on steering. As with most SUVs it is important to not oversteer, as doing so could easily cause the vehicle to roll. It has plenty of storage areas, but it can take a while to figure out where they all are and how to best use them. The tire jack included with the vehicle is not very useful in my opinion and is best replaced by one that is. Very few maintenance major issues since vehicle was purchased new.
