Honda Insight OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

Adequate fuel-saver
The Honda Insight is an adequate fuel-saving people mover. With pedestrian seats, an anemic acceleration profile, weird shifting and strange HVAC system, the Honda insight has some rough edges. Honda's approach to hybrid technology is simpler than Toyotas, but falls behind in the fuel-saving categories.

Great little car!
I bought my Insight certified used through Honda. I've been overall pleased with my car. For a small car it has great space. The gas mileage is a blessing. The quality is excellent and I've had no problems with my car in the 2.5 Years I've owned it.

Great mileage! The look is sleek and ascetically pleasing. This car can very comfortable fit 5 people. Trunk space could have been bigger though. As a hybrid, it was very quiet, even on the highway. It did not have any issues with blind spots at all. The battery did have to be replaced quite frequently, but many of the times it was because of personal misuse of battery power (leaving the headlights or cabin lights on overnight, oops!) The costs for maintenance were very fair. When driving the vehicle it performed well and I felt very safe and in control. Because of the quieter engine, it wasn't quite as fun to drive with as a car with a loud engine however. The acceleration, braking, and handling are very sensitive when compared to my previous car, and it took a little bit of getting used to, but I'd rather the breaks be very sensitive instead of the opposite.
