Hyundai Elantra Touring OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS
Holiday City-Berkeley, New Jersey
Mediocre.
The body is overall good quality. In 4 years I have only replaced the window actuator on the drivers side. I use the roof racks to transport kayaks all summer and I have no complaints. My transmission has been replaced twice due to slipping. It was under warranty, but is a known issue in this vehicle.

Starts out great, then look out for trouble.
The 2009 Elantra Touring started out strong, but has not held up very well through its first 90,000 miles. The features and trim on this car make it feel like a much pricier model from some of the bigger name brand competitors, but you do get what you pay for. There have been several recalls over the last few years, and frequent problems with interior finishes flaking off, leaving sharp edges, and other issues. In the last three years, this car has cost more than $3000 to maintain.

Reliable Car
I really like my Hyundai Elantra Touring. This is the second hatchback that I have owned, and I love having that convenience. I previously had a two door, and it makes the hatchback even more luxurious. It gets pretty good gas mileage and has enough zoom to get up hills. The interior fabric is nice, however the fabric is hard to clean since it has little holes for spills to sink into.
