2007 Jeep Liberty OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

Nice SUV, littered with weak manufacturing
This 2007 car has been through three owners and is at 130,000 miles in the year 2019. It has had its ups and downs when it comes to driving experience and issues. Maintenance hasnÕt been too extraordinarily expensive, and the car was decently easy to work on by myself with the use of internet videos. The air conditioner has needed recharging and parts twice over the last 12 years. Brakes have been flushed once and replaced three times. The car is excellent in the winter but only if it has nice tires. I had my first fender bender in this car on ice going around a curve at 30 mph and the rear tire fender popped off and it has never been replaced because you canÕt order it. But it has handled the roads nicely with good tires. However, the jeep liberty is notoriously known for its electrical issues. I have had several instances of the car not starting and needing to wiggle the gear shifter to get it to start. While I'm driving down the road sometimes all of my normal dash lights will turn off and it sounds like the car turns off for a second and then all the possible lights on the dash come on and the car dings a few times and goes back to normal which is terrifying. Fuel economy is not very outstanding and I average about 17 or 18 mpg. The electric controls for the mirrors don't work anymore and I've had the window motors stop working and the window fall down and break several times and these motors are costly. Overall IÕve had some good memories in it, but IÕve not felt very safe due to the electrical issues.

Would Not Buy Again
I wish I had a time machine so I could go back in time and not buy this car. I bought the car new and have had it for about nine years now. The interior features of the car began to either fall apart or deteriorate within the first year. For example, the interior handle on the backseat fell off in the first year along with other interior cosmetic issues cropping up. Overall, the interior is just poor quality.
