Great running car for the value

Our Altima is extremely well built especially the suspension system. Whether I am driving or riding in the passenger seat I feel very little of the road vibration that so often makes for a miserable ride. The interior is very well appointed with well padded and designed seats that are very comfortable. I love all the bells and whistles our Altima as, it looks like a little cockpit. The navigation system is makes finding new locations so much easier than an add-on GPS system like we had to use in our last car. The sound system is wonderful, being able to see information about a radio station, like the genre, the name of the song playing, the artist, etc. makes listening far more enjoyable. The Altima looks like a small car from the outside (at least compared to our last car which was a 2004 full sized Cadillac Deville) but it is amazingly roomy inside. My husband is 6'2' and a big man and has such long legs that it is hard to find a car that give him enough leg and head room. In the past some of the cars we have looked at only gave him an inch or two between his head and the roof and an inch or so between his knees and the dashboard. This isn't very comfortable and always worried me that if he was involved in an accident in the car it could cripple him. That is certainly not the case with the Altima. He has lots of head and leg room and is very comfortable, whether driving or riding in the passenger seat. There are also multiple storage compartments in the Altima, including two compartments, a small shallow one over a separate deeper one, in the front arm rest that divides the front seats. This makes it easier to find small things without having to find the small things that tend to get lost in one big compartment and keeps you from having to dig around to find what you want.

I like the overall look of the vehicle. It's not big and bulky, but it also isn't too small like a clown car. The radio system is pretty easy to use, except setting the time on the radio isn't very intuitive. It doesn't really bother me, but if you're looking for a fast car, then you'll want to keep on looking. The seats are comfortable for short drives, but on long road trips, they can get kind of painful. The interior is pretty roomy. I transported four cats and one dog half-way across the country and had enough room for it. I also like the electronic display in the car. I like that you can scroll through and see how many miles you've driven, what your mpg are, tire pressure, radio station, etc. One thing I would change is the way the seat moves up or down. This car has like a pump handle, so you have to keep cranking it up or down to get the desired effect. I would prefer if it was electronic, it makes it a lot easier to adjust while driving. Also, the interior lights aren't very good. Even when I turn them all on, it's pretty difficult to see anything in the dark. I do like that this car is a four door. It just is so much more practical than a two-door car. The trunk space is nice, but I wish the seats would fold down better. I'm not really sure how that would work, but it is difficult to get things through the trunk/back seat. So overall, it's not the kind of car that makes you go ,"Wow", but it's a reliable, practical, affordable vehicle.
