Good small truck.
This truck always drove very well, although there are a couple mechanical issues. First and mainly, there is an issue regarding the starting of the truck when hot, and after taking it to many different service stations, I still have yet to find someone that knows how to fix it. It does not affect performance at all; it is just an inconvenience. Overall though, this truck is a great truck, and I would be very likely to recommend it to someone in search of a truck.

Well, it's a truck.
The 2000 Nissan Frontier EX with the four-cylinder engine is a noisy, under-powered, uncomfortable mess. The lack of acceleration is startling; it often struggles to get to highway speeds on the on-ramp and appears to be very taxed while traveling on freeways. Once you have reached a speed that allows you to avoid being run off the road, the wind noise is deafening. Coupled with the laughably incompetent factory stereo, most commutes are not enjoyable to say the least. The interior is cramped and uncomfortable, even with the extended cab. Leg room and headroom are almost non-existent. For some reason, Nissan decided to make the front seat a 60/40 split bench with a quasi-solid back. Which, of course, means it is impossible to reach into the "back seat" area from the front. The jump seats that comprise the "back seat" area could only be comfortable for a small child. However, carrying a child small enough to be comfortable in one of these would be illegal without a car seat, which also will not fit. All in all, this is a poorly designed vehicle that was in production as-is for far longer than it should have been.
