Sexy, Powerful, Basic
People who buy this car buy it for two things only: the body and the engine. The sound of this car starting up is deep and powerful. The body is sleek and sexy, unlike other lower-end sports cars that have a boxy and heavy look. Even though this car is 12 years old, it turns heads everywhere I go. Not many are seen on the road anymore. It's made for those who want to enjoy being on the road. This car is basic inside. There's no fancy electronics. It's meant for fun, not luxury. The good thing is that the less electronics there are, the less there is to break. Don't expect heated seats or even an iPod port. It does have a hatchback with small backseats that fold down, so you can cram a lot of cargo in there if needed. The downside is that the craftsmanship is very poor. I've had to take the entire engine out at around 20000 miles. The fuel gage broke and it's inside the fuel tank, which is also very costly to take out and repair. Overall, it's been in the shop a lot and it wasn't designed for ease of repair -- no one buys a sports car for easy repair though. This is very fun to drive. The tires grip those tight turns at high speeds. Traction control helps as well. You can sometimes lose grip when flooring it. There's also a couple seconds of lag between opening up the fuel and accelerating. While it's meant for fun -- you can't expect great gas mileage. It's a V8 engine!

I wish GM would resume transam production
I think the build quality is good and it handles well. The car looks sexy and it is fast. The engine sounds good. The RAM air hood add to the looks and to the performance of the car. The interior is nice, the seats are comfortable. The sound system is also good. The gas mileage is good, about 24 miles to the gallon.
