Above-average car for average price
This vehicle was given to me spur of the moment, and I have loved it since. Currently nine years old and closing in on 100,000 miles, it has been a good work horse for me. It is a no-frills above-average car. I have used it for cross-country road trips with no issues as well. I have been able to use it to help move people as it has a large back trunk area. The down side is that it has had a lot of recalls, three and counting, all for serious issues. It also has an annoying issue with the tire gauge sensor in that it is always on, even when the tire pressure is just fine. My mechanic has worked on it several times, and he cannot fix it permanently. It is just a minor irritation. The visibility is the best I have ever had in any car. The seats are positioned so not to block visibility, and the framework around the windows minimizes any obstructions.

Practical
2001 Subaru Forester was purchased due to its winter-time handling. The mid-sized SUV was larger and more roomier than previous sedans. The extra room in the passenger compartment and the cargo area was a welcomed addition. The vehicle also has technology which sends power to the tires to prevent slipping on icy roads. The weight and size of the vehicle enables you to drive with confidence for all-weather travelling. The views while driving are wide and easy due to the ample window layouts. The vehicle has its issues such as the expensive wheel bearings that seem to plague this model. The undercarriage rust is causing many components to fail prematurely. The rotors warp frequently. The engine sensors are very costly to replace. Overall, the vehicle has provided many years of service. The engine itself has given little to no problems. The interior is roomy and allows transporting of large items and luggage. It handles off road adventures well and rides with a decent acceleration and power. The looks of the vehicle is not sporty looking, but this is a functional and practical automobile that is versatile for the average driver.

2011 Subaru 1090
The price advertised was the price you paid. In addition, they worked with me and got my financing rate very low compared to a traditional bank auto loan.

This was the only local Subaru dealership. And at the time it was the place I was most likely to buy the car. Close for test driving purposes.
