I love having a wagon that's AWD and affordable
I originally bought this car because I was looking for a wagon and AWD. The most obvious choice was the Outback. Affordability was a big factor. If I could afford an Audi All Road, I may have gone that way. I am also a fan of the Horizontally Opposed engine layout as I think it contributes to a much smoother ride by cancelling out vibrations. The other factor that influenced my decision is the fact that I see them everywhere. My Outback has 130k+ miles on it and still going strong. It's still a good work horse that has helped me in four moves throughout my ownership and could take more. I would buy it again, but with a better transmission as it can be a bit clunky at times. I would prefer a bit more pick-up for passing on the highway, but once it gets up there, it's a smooth high-speed drive - great for highway cruising, which is how I spend a good portion of my daily commute. I love the fact that I can load up the back without having to worry about breaking mine by lifting things high enough to get into an SUV. Of course, even better is the fact that I can put things on top without having to get a ladder to reach them. It is certainly my go-to vehicle for Christmas tree shopping.

Good working reliable car.
My Subaru is a hard working vehicle that never breaks down on me and runs quite well in bad conditions. The engine has enough horsepower to get through mud and snow and has powerful acceleration. Its also a big car with a very large trunk space so I have never had problem transporting large amounts of things. Overall it runs well and gets me to where I need to go.
