Great vehicle, about as reliable as ford and Chevy trucks but it's not too expensive to fix if it ever does go wrong.

Absolutely love our Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel 4X4 for the 8 years that we have owned it! It is a comfortable, smooth ride with plenty of room in the cabin for seating and plenty of cabin storage. This model has storage in the arm rest, under the middle front seat, in the doors and in a stow under the back seat. Which by the way, has lots of leg room. It is a powerful workhorse, pulling a 3 horse trailer without even a loss in power or gas mileage- barely noticed it was there. Parking in the small parking lot spaces is a breeze since we don't have to swing out to pull in- parks like a car. It is an attractive body style, still looking like a manly truck. The paint has held up well to our stormy Southern weather and still gets a great shine when waxed. Love that you never smell the diesel inside the cabin while driving and it doesn't leave a huge black poof of smoke in your trail. The four wheel drive locks in easily and works great. Even though we don't get a lot of snow here, we get a lot of mud and have had to use the four wheel drive to pull a loaded horse trailer through muddy red clay with ease. We tell everyone how great it is and would not hesitate to buy again, but we plan to keep it. We have had trouble with the cooling/heating venting system and need to have the replaced and the air conditioner needs to be charged every couple of years. We have had to change weather stripping on the driver's window and the back window, but I believe that is from the driver grabbing it when they get in the truck and the back window had been broken and replaced poorly. We get about 18 MPG.

I bought the truck in 2005 and have owned it since. it is a four door ram with a Cummins. I put a chip on it and it runs good. It is a six speed manual transmission and is a High output edition. I have not had many problems. The only problems I have had are i have replaced the water pump and thermostat and have had some problems keeping it cool. I have also replaced one injector and the fuel lift pump.
