Used Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 SRT-10 for Sale

The 1999 Dodge Ram truck has a powerful engine in three sizes, the truck in 4x4 model is loaded with torque. I chose the 1500 sport 4x4 and have been happy with it. This truck is full of feature and has a comfortable ride for a 4x4, the available engine choices give you what you need. It has a cloth interior and fold down center armrest for the bucket seat option. The 4x4 model sits high for ground clearance and has the most available torque for towing. The truck comes with a rear anti lock ABS system that improve stopping distance and power steering for easy parking in tight situations. The truck came with an automatic trans as standard with the choice of manual as an option. Am/fm cassette player with CD and a power amp speaker system. The truck comes with overdrive to conserve fuel sine the large v-8 engine consumes it's fair amount of it. I purchased the tow option and this truck has pulled every trailer we tried with ease. The tow package comes with lighting and installed receiver hitch.

I love my truck for many reasons. For one thing, I use it almost weekly to haul manure, for my extensive garden beds, and because it has a liner, washing it out is so much easier. I also love the electric seat position buttons on the side of the seat. I have back issues, and these position change buttons help accommodate me in this area. Call me old fashioned, but I am so grateful for electric A/C and door buttons. I can haul my Irish Wolfhound in the cab for rides to the park, by putting the back seat up. The front bench seat has a storage box that pushes up and makes room for another front seat passenger, or separates the front seat into two rider spaces. I use this down when hauling my dog, so he can see me. The truck bed has a tool box attached which I use to store tie downs, and cables for a jump start, as well as a first aid kit, and blankets. There are two bars that point up, like horns above the cab, which must be roll bars for an accident or maybe for hauling wood, or something, I like them because whenever I am in a parking lot, I have difficulty finding my truck, so the horns help me find my truck more easily. I have been having trouble with one of the rods on the steering wheel column-the one on the right side. The very end has come off, and so we have wrapped electrical tape on it. This may be something designed to wear out by a certain age. Also, the A/C is making sounds, and again, I do wonder if it was designed to fail by a certain amount of usage. My truck is a work horse, despite these small flaws, and I am so grateful to have it.

First and most importantly, this is no vehicle for someone who is inexperienced or new to driving. This pickup is built for speed and nothing else. It is incredibly powerful, has a mean growl from the factory, and if you're not careful, it will be your coffin. It honestly has way too much power for an on-the-street pickup. It is hard to keep the rear end hooked to the pavement because there is no weight over the drive tires. You need racing slicks to truly enjoy the power this motor has without melting the tires in a beautiful set of this black lines on the pavement. If its power is respected, then this an absolute impractical and totally perfect toy. It turns heads wherever it goes. It has your standard dodge interior with little badge accents. For having a 10 cylinder gasoline motor, it isn't as necessarily terrible on fuel as you may expect it to be. If driving it with fuel economy is n mind you can get 16 mpg on the highway. If you have a lead foot in the city you will be getting around 7 mpg, but you will be getting there quick and irritating the heck out of the cops in the process. It is such a fun toy with no real practical application other then to have fun in.
