Be extremely careful. Drivers in Independence do not care who is in the way and will force their way in, ignore the speed limits most of the time, and not pay attention to the road, causing many accidents.
Due to this summer having a lot of rain, there has been flood damage on quite a few vehicles. What makes it worse is there are a lot of shady dealerships around here and if they do not offer a carfax and argue for any reason, do not do any sales transactions with them.
To be honest, this city is one of the worst. The best I can say about driving here is when there are next to no people on the road, usually around midnight.
I-435. During the night, its real easy to get to wherever you need to in KC, or if you are lost, its an easy way to get your bearings back.

There can be traffic at times, just be cautious of the drivers around you and you'll be fine.
I have not bought a car in this city. I would just say do your research first, like you would in any city.
My favorite memory of driving in this city was meeting up with friends in the city to do some shopping, go to dinner and the movies. It was great to meet up with my friends and to do some fun stuff.
East 39th Street. This is a road in this city where there are lots of restaurants and shopping centers. It's nice to be able to drive this road and have lots of cool places to stop.
