Typical Chevy nickel and dime.
The 2013 Chevy Malibu is a good car to own as long as you don't mind repair bills. I have had several repairs done on this car. Some were covered by the bumper to bumper warranty and a few weren't. As for the style and design of the car, it's really great. The car looks great and for a mid-size car, there is plenty of room inside. The car is comfortable - I can say that the driver's seat, the passenger seat and the backseat are all comfortable. Also, Chevy is great at color - their vehicle colors are like no other automobile company. I have the black granite metallic color, which I get lots of compliments on, even though the car is almost four years old. The inside is comfortable and the seats, dashboard and carpeting are all made with quality materials. This car is a 4 cylinder car but it still has quite a bit of "get up and go" and isn't too far, power-wise, from the 6 cylinder car I had before. One of the things that I hate the most about this car is that it did not come with a spare tire. It came with a can of "fix a flat" and a tiny air machine. I got a flat tire once on the Ohio Turnpike and my tire was too badly damaged to use what was included so I had to get towed to a tire shop. This is really frustrating - in order for me to have a spare tire, I would have had to spend a couple of hundred dollars on a rim and a tire.

Overall a good vehicle.
As I bought this car used, I didn't have much choice in terms of options/add-ons, and had to take what it came with. As a result it came with a lot of features I wouldn't have chosen. Almost everything is electronic. That's good when it comes to controlling windows, but not so much when it comes to moving the seats. My husband is much taller than I am, which means we have to move the driver's seat a considerable distance every time we switch drivers. With a mechanical seat, it takes maybe 2 seconds. With this one it takes 30+. It may not sound like much, but you can get awfully wet standing in the rain for 30 seconds! I would not have chosen to have air conditioning or cruise control, but I have them. I admit the anti-lock brakes are a nice extra, but the one on the driver's side is now broken, and I can't afford to fix it. It's bigger than my last car, and I can fit more in the trunk easily, which is a plus, but the gas mileage is worse, which is definitely a minus. I like the different storage compartments in the armrest between the front seats.
