We bought a Dodge Caravan 6 months ago because we added twins to the family. It was imperative that we got a van because we needed more space. The Dodge Caravan was definitely a good choice on our part. There is plenty of space for everyone and it's great for traveling. The van runs terrific and we have yet to experience any problems with it. We bought it with 80,000 miles on it and I think we are at around 100,000 miles now. I think the appearance of the vehicle is great on the inside and the outside. I haven't experienced any problems with and gadgets in the interior of the vehicle. The stereo, a/c/ heat, automatic side doors, automatic windows and seats, and everything else seems to work great. This vehicle is very reliable, which is much needed when you have a family of six to haul around. The seats are comfortable and it is pretty good on gas. One particular thing I love about the van is that there is extra space in the far back behind the last row of seats. It helps immensely with traveling, groceries, etc. The automatic sliding doors are also one of the perks that have me in love with it. It helps so much when getting the little ones in and out of the vehicle frequently.

Decent mini van, very safe.
I feel very safe in this vehicle. We've been in some minor accidents and have emerged unscathed. It has had some mechanical complications including problems with motorized doors either not opening or not closing as well as a major radiator leak. But the windows, wipers, and breaks function well in ice and snow (important in Colorado) and it handles very well in all conditions. I love that the rear seats are collapsible, very handy for travel as well as for extra passengers when the seats are needed (I can carry up to five kids or four adults in the back along with a passenger in the front). The stereo is nothing to get excited about, but is nice in that you can control the front and back speakers independently if the kids don't want to listen to your geeky music. The AC is great because it can be customized for the rear or front, passenger or driver and the passengers in the back can control their own climate if they want to. If the rear passengers need air flow, there are rear venting windows. I don't have a powered gate, but this model does come with one if you pay for it. It is a nice looking car with a nice interior. I don't like the middle passenger cup holders--in fact they were the first things to break. The kids accidentally snapped them off almost immediately.
