Good for first vehicle, but beware of recalled parts
I like the gas mileage of this vehicle. And I like the way in which it handles steering. The air-conditioner cools down quickly and the vehicle runs fairly well considering how many miles I have on it. My vehicle has 129,000 miles on it, and it runs well still. It is a little bit of an expensive you call, and that registration for it and Iowa as expensive. The trunk is roomie. I am able to see it four adults in addition to myself in this vehicle. The cross body seatbelts in the back make my passengers and myself feel safe. As I babysit my nephews and nieces and cousins quite often I feel safe knowing that there is a latch in the back of the window area to attach and anchor car seat straps. I also feel safe knowing that I can lock my windows so that it prevents my nieces and nephews and cousins from throwing things out. I have moved three times in the past two years and have been able to get majority of my things in this vehicle. I would buy it again, if I were looking for sedan.

Poor quality. Basically a recyclable car.
The pros of the car are as follows: the vehicle is affordable, its gets good to great gas mileage, and if you want to just have a sporty look with a convertible top then this is for you. The cons are as follows: the car has many low quality items incorporated throughout the car. The shock struts are not robust enough for the front wheel drive front end. You can feel every bump and if going over speed bumps go slow or you'll scrape under the front end. Front end tie rods are not adjustable after manufacturing they are fixed rods set at the factory. They cannot be lubed nor adjusted for alignments. Requires total front end r&r. Car sits to low to the ground hard to get in and out of. Back seat is worth less. Very uncomfortable and cramped. Trunk is small and basically worthless. Front two seats are very uncomfortable for long drives over 3 hours. The battery is hidden from site and not easily accessible. The convertible top is not made to last becomes brittle after a few years and seams start coming apart. Paint started to peal off in spots after 6 years. Car goes through front tires every 2 - 3 years. If the car is not exactly level it will give you false oil qty readings and can overfill and blow out gaskets. Seatbelt connections have been poor from day one. Red seat belt red light intermittently comes on and off and bell rings too. And cannot isolate the ringtone. In my opinion its a recyclable throw away or sell it after 5 years. Before it nickel and dimes you to death.

The car wasn't the best
I owned a Chrysler Sebring for 12 years. It was my first car, and I loved it at first. It did not age well and was basically useless by 140,000 miles. The engine, being a four cylinder, was too small for the car also and affected performance. I bought it a year old for approximately $19,000, and I probably spent that much maintaining it and repairing it.
