Better than expected
I often look at car/truck reviews when I am trying to decide on the purchase of a vehicle, and then I make the best choice I can while staying within my desired price range. With that being said, 10 years ago I purchased a 2008 Nissan Titan that had 15,000 miles on it for $20,000.00. Exactly $20,000 because that was my budget. I wanted a Ford or Chevy but would not pay for the premium price tag, so I settled. Every review listed the Titan as one of the worse pickups to own. But for the price, it was roomy (I am a big guy), and I figured if it wasn't reliable, I could return it in a couple of years. Well, it now has 220,000 miles on it, has only had standard service changes and tires replaced. The original 17 MPG fuel estimate is still the reading that I see when I fill up the tank, and the ride is still comparable to when I drove it off the lot. In my opinion, I have more than gotten my money's worth from my truck and even now have a hard time justifying a new purchase.

A solid all-around truck
The 2008 Nissan Titan has proven itself to be a very solid choice in truck although it is not perfect. First I will focus on what I like about the Titan. To start this is just a good-looking truck, the lines and body design work together to bring a big beefy looking truck in at the quarter ton category. While driving the Titan you will notice that the steering is tight and the front end feels very solid, now you're not going to be able to take corners like a race car but you would defiantly have the edge in an off-road or un-improved road condition. The interior of the Titan has my approval for the most part, the instrument cluster is laid out nice, and the turn knobs are big enough to work them with gloves on. The back seat on the crew cab model is very spacious, and the power back window is very nice. If you are going to haul stuff, then the Titan has you covered there as well. The bed of the truck is well lit and has a 12-volt power plug in. It also has an integrated rail system for easily securing all of you camping items for those weekend trips to the mountains or lake. Now I don't have many negative things to say about the Titan, but there are a few items worth mentioning. First off if you don't get the long wheel base model, then you will be stuck with a short bed that is usable but hard to fit eight- to ten-foot boards or my 13-foot kayak in. The storage box on the outside of the bed is also difficult to use and doesn't offer much storage space. Then on the interior the buttons are a little loose and feel a little cheap, and although there is plenty of storage compartments, most of them are uncovered so all of your clutter is just sitting out in plain view.
