The salesman was friendly and helped me make the right decision for me.
They had an inventory that wasn't too large for me to make my decision.
The staff seemed very knowledgeable.
The financing process went quite smoothly.
Their inventory looked to be kept in good repair.

He worked with our budget (which was very little) and gave us a car that has been working for 2+ years. 1800 dollars for 2+ years is good in my book.

I don't have good credit and they worked with me to get terms I could accept and afford, taking lots of time to make the deal work.

The best tip I can give for driving in Sioux Falls is to find alternate routes, especially during rush hour. They are many streets that are not as busy as the main routes and, if you plan your route carefully, you can use stop lights to get across the busier streets. Also, you just might find something interesting that you want to visit later!
There are many car dealers in Sioux Falls, but I have never bought a car there. Our children have both bought vehicles in Sioux Falls, due to the fact that the organization our son works for gets their vehicles from a particular car dealership - the largest one in Sioux Falls - and he knows the people who make the decisions about selling vehicles and can get a good deal.
When driving in Sioux Falls, I like to drive down some of the more out of the way roads. Everyone takes the main roads, but then they miss things. The butterfly house is on one of those out of the way roads. It I had not taken that road, I would never have discovered the butterfly house and the area around it. I took my daughter there and she enjoyed it so much we later had to bring our Girl Scout troop. They were able to take part in one of the special sessions the butterfly house offers. They went out to a nearby creek and looked at the insects in and near the water. One of the girls even got stuck in the mud and we had to clean up her mess! There also used to be a big playground there (not sure if it is still there) which had a large circular piece of playground equipment that had ropes on it. The girls had a great time climbing that piece of playground equipment. The girls were also videoed by one of the local television stations, so we called the parents at home and told them to be sure to watch TV to see if the girls made it onto the news. They did and one parent was able to videotape it for the girls ot watch later.
Kiwanis Avenue. I like driving down Kiwanis Avenue although, over the years, it has become one of the busiest streets in Sioux Falls. The north end of the street starts near the Elmwood Gold Course and Elmwood Park with a branch of the Big Sioux River nearby. This area always seems green to me. Traveling south, you then find Sherman Park. Sherman Park is the location of the USS South Dakota - what is left of it, anyway. There is a concrete wall which outlines the shape and size of the ship with the actual mast in its proper location. Next door is a baseball/softball complex and next to that is the Great Plains Zoo and Delbridge Museum, a pretty good zoo for a cold weather state like South Dakota. The museum has a collection of stuffed animals. The zoo is always growing and has many of its animals in a natural setting. Continuing south, you find the Minnehaha County Club and more green areas. There is a large hill in that area where the city used to have a sledding hill, however, due to problems with people using the hill, it was closed and is now a part of the country club's golf course. Continuing south you travel through a residential area with many nice homes and apartments. Then you travel past O'Gorman High School, a private school supported by the Catholics. Kiwanis Avenue ends near another park, Oxbow Park!

This city is really easy to get around in if you follow the signs and use a gps. It is hard to get lost in since there are no tall buildings and the speed limit is right where it needs to be. If you visit on a weekend you need lots of patience because all of the out-of-towners come to visit for events and shopping so there is a lot of traffic on 41st St. If you know where to go you can avoid that street pretty easily by taking some of the side streets. If it starts raining really heavily be prepared for street flooding. Although the town is somewhat hilly, it is very flat on the southern end of town towards the mall. Get to a high spot quickly and do not drive on the flooded road!
If you are going to buy a car, it better work well in the wintertime. We get lots of snow and cars don't go through snow very well unless they have front wheel drive. A van, SUV, or pickup would be my preferred choice of a vehicle if I had my choice. I would go to one of the reputable big named dealerships like Vern Eide or Sioux Falls Ford. Do not go to the used car lot on the corner.
I love driving in this city. It is the first place I lived outside of my family farm and it was so great having everything near me instead of 35 miles away. I went to college here so the streets were fairly easy for me to navigate and get around and the traffic wasn't too bad. I could easily get from one place to another with out any problems. It was so awesome to be able to go to Target and the mall and be back to my dorm in 10 minutes! Even though Sioux Falls is a fairly big town now, biggest town in my state, it still has that small town feel every once in awhile. It's just a nice place to drive and the people are friendly and although road rage does occur, I do not need to worry about someone shooting me or running me down if a mistake happens.
Minnesota Ave.. I love this street because it is one long street from one end of the city to the other. In the middle of the stretch is a gigantic hill and the view from the top is really cool, especially at night. I love this street also because there are so many different kind of stores and businesses on the road. There's everything from downtown unique stores to big chain retail stores and mom and pop businesses in between. Plus this road is right near where my college was at so it was easy to get on it and find everything I needed without getting lost. This road is pretty easy to navigate, since I don't have to worry about too many stop lights or blind spots. It is nice and wide and the congestion is not too bad except during rush hour.
