That MPG Tho!
I've been driving my 1994 Honda Accord for about 4 months now (tax season). So far I've had to replace the speed sensor, spark plugs, and wires, although this is normal as the car has 185k miles on it! This does not include the normal oil changes, because obviously, you NEED to do your regular oil changes frequently. I got the car with 10/10 interior, which is very rare now a days for a 1994 Accord. The interior is a soft beige, and looks very sleek and modern (for the year). All in all, I have put about 6,500 miles on the car so far, and do not have a problem. I still get around 28 MPG city, all day long! The car is automatic, :( I was hoping for a 5 speed but the quality was too good to pass up, but even for an automatic car, the MPG is great, and I can get to work, school, pick up my daughter twice a week, and regular store trips, all on one tank a gas a pay check (which is every two weeks). The MPG is just remarkable, especially for an 11 year old car! Still running like it should! (Honda does the best job at maintaining reliability over long periods of time IMO) All in all I would say this has been by far the best, not so much the most fun, ;) car I have owned.

This vehicle has been my "old faithful."
There are several pros to this vehicle. However, there are a few cons, yet that wouldn't stop me from purchasing another one. Out of the cons, my least favorite, is how low the seats are. I've noticed that it's more difficult to get in and out of this vehicle the older I get, and it's not kind on my hips or knees. Another con is that the door motor/switch makes this hideous sound when locking. It sounds as if it's locking then unlocking back to back almost 30 times. Yes, I've counted. Along with the other cons, is the fact that most vehicles made around this year and up until '98 seem to lose their clear coat faster than other models. Now, the next-to-last con is that the car sits low to the ground. I actually had to have my exhaust replaced from front to back because of this. I had a 1996 model that had the same problem. And, for the finale, the tires are hard to find used. They are 14" in size, and you'll most likely have to buy them new every time. Now, for the pros! I have an obsession with the outdoors, and this car never fails to get me into the mountains. Now, it's not a Jeep or an SUV, but it will accommodate in the elements! There's plenty of trunk space for a compact car, too. Obviously, it gets good gas mileage, and as long as it's maintained, it will last you for years and well after reaching the 200,000 mile mark -- all while driving like it's brand new! This vehicle even has front-facing air bags.
