2005 Honda Pilot OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS
Shelter Island, New York
Great long lasting vehicle.
We got the Honda Pilot back in 2005. It is now 2017 and the vehicle has over 200,000 miles on it and still runs like it's brand new. It's taken us on countless road trips and we have never had any engine trouble or problems with fluids. The biggest thing we have had to do thus far was replace the tires, but tires get worn out so that's a normal thing that needs replacing. The vehicle was especially awesome for when our children were smaller and had many friends that we could easily pile into the back. The only complaint I have is that now it's nearly impossible to sit adults comfortably in the third row of the vehicle. We found that only one adult can sit comfortably in the third row, and only if they put their legs to the side on the seat. We are also looking to downsize since we do not need the extra room in the vehicle, and because we found we could get better gas mileage with all the new technology and features that other vehicles can offer.

Overall this is the most reliable automobile I have ever owned. My Pilot is going on 300k miles and I have had no major hiccups. It has survived 13 New England winters without giving me a hassle and still holds up to this day. I love the plain look of the exterior, nice and normal, a practical shape. I can't stand the look of the new Pilot or any other modern crossover SUVs.

Great buy. Great SUV.
I like everything about my Honda Pilot. It has plenty of room for five adults and luggage. It does very well on short trips or cross country and mpg is pretty good, about 360 miles per tank fill. It is now twelve years old, and I've only had to replace the tires (once), battery (once), and brakes (three times). Driving is extremely comfortable and ergonomic. The heated seats are great as well as the ability to put them in nearly any position that you can configure. Even a nearly flat lay down in the event of finding yourself in need of a nap. There is plenty of front seat storage, and you can keep your sunglasses in a drop down tray that is easy to work when driving. The heated outside mirrors are nice when there is frost or icing. The second-row seat has a pull down for passengers to place their drinks or snacks while watching their DVD with Honda-supplied wireless headphones. The radio/CD player works very well with great sound quality. Although you cannot fit an adult in the third seat comfortably, there is still plenty of room for small children.
