2011 Honda Pilot OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

The best SUV I have ever owned.
The Honda Pilot is a very well-built SUV. It has a lot of room for hauling. It was used when I bought the vehicle, and the inside seating and upholstery was in very good shape and still is to this day. I have had the vehicle for over a year now. It has DVD player in the car which comes to good use when you have kids, especially going on vacations and long trip drives. The CD/DVD/radio is very easy to use. The vehicle also has a back-up camera in the rearview mirror which is also great because it helps to make sure nothing or anyone is in the way; it covers blind spots. It has charging ports in the back of the vehicle for all people to be able to charge their device. The Pilot also has 3rd-row seating, so it will sit up to 8 people, so it's great for large families. The console holds a charger that is a wall plug in, so you can use anything inside the vehicle that requires plugged into a outlet. The outside of the vehicle has held up very well. It has very small scratches and that's it. The vehicle also has a sun roof that opens and closes with a button. Another plus is auto cruise. That way you can use it while going on long straight roads and rest your foot. It also shows how many miles you have until you need to refill your gas. If any tires are low on the vehicle, then it has a picture on the dashboard that shows which tire is low pressure.

The Pilot is versatile, reliable and stylish.
I like being able to use my Honda Pilot for various activities around town including commuting, hauling materials home, driving my wife and three kids as well as traveling. Despite having a lot of space, the vehicle also has a decent amount of power and I am never worried about performance when merging onto the freeway or traveling over the mountains. Mine is the All Wheel Drive model and I’ve found it reasonably capable off road for getting from point A to point B, though I am not a serious recreational off road driver. The gas mileage was a concern but I was pleasantly surprised by the performance in that regard. Obviously it isn’t as good as a smaller or less capable vehicle, but I am still able to get 300 miles out of a tank. I also like the overall looks and aesthetics of the vehicle. It is neither too sleek nor too boxy. The creature comforts are nice as well, from the heated seats in the winter to the sunroof in the summer. The sound system is nice as well, with a lot of options such as XM radio and an auxiliary input jack for convenient smartphone hookup.

Super reliable SUV
Very reliable vehicle in all aspects. Pleasure to drive and lots of room for a family and friends. It has the most comfortable and easily accessible third row. We have used it often and with ease. We also love the way the seats slide and fold into many different configurations depending on the need. It is noisier than most SUVs. We love the fact the kids are very comfortable and that we have seating for a lot of their friends as well. For a mid-sized SUV, it performed very well compared to similar SUVs as far as ride handling fuel mileage and comfort. The size is great for a smaller SUV, and it actually looks like an SUV not a crossover. The price for them can get high, though its' a Honda. Safety ratings were awesome compared to others that are on the market. My son flies remote control airplanes, and with the second- and third-row seat in the down position, all of his equipment and planes will fit inside with no problem. One of the only complaints I have had with the Honda Pilot is the factory towing setup. The Honda Pilot comes from the factory with a class three-trailer hitch but has no trailer light plugs available without a separate purchase from the dealer to add the wiring harness.
