Car for life
I love my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee because I feel as if it will take me anywhere and it will last forever. It is a very old car, and mine has almost 200k miles on it, yet it is so reliable. I would jump in it and drive across country today without even thinking twice. It is built to last. It has a little bit of rust and a few bumps and dents, but what 20-year-old car doesn't. I have had to get a few minor things done to it, but nothing major, and parts are so cheap, so it's not a huge cost. This is my 2nd Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I plan to try out a newer version in the future. It is just such a great car and I recommend it to every body. My version has power windows and locks, and even has a little monitor that tells you things such as doors being open, low windshield fluid, miles to empty, average miles per gallon, and a few other things. Over the years, the seatbelts have gotten a little stiff, and sometimes they are a little difficult to pull out of buckle. This car has survived so much, but I still rely on it every single day to get me and my husband and our five-year-old son wherever we need to go.

Tough and absolutely fun to ride in the mud and snow.
I drove my jeep for 3 years on a very rough road. Dirt, gravel with deep holes and ruts. It has plenty of power to deal with the mud in rainy weather and has great suspension to make the rough terrain fun and an easy ride. Love driving it and able to drive pretty fast on bad roads without feeling like you are being beat to death by bumps, holes and washboards. It is just a pleasure to drive and ride in. It has plenty of power to go where other SUV's just cannot get to or through. It will take a hill in pretty deep mud and snow. It was like no problem to get home in the worst of weather. Living 6 miles off road in the desert we tested its durability in the worst conditions possible. And getting home after a week of rain on my muddy road was sometimes a big challenge before we added gravel. It was definitely 4 wheeling and not in the funniest of ways just to arrive home after a long day at the office. What I disliked about the vehicle is that the gas mileage was not really good and that you have to stop, put it in neutral to put it in 4 wheel drive. When your in a tough spot it is difficult to lose momentum to get out of a muddy messy road. Although this vehicle has plenty of power. It is a tough vehicle.

It's very dependable
I loved my 99' Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. It was a very clean Jeep and I love how the bottom trim which was a plastic material helped cut in the body details of the Jeep. It was a bright Fire hydrant red and the plastic trim along the bottom was black before the color started to fade. It was dependable and the engine had a 186,000 miles on it before I sold it. I changed the oil regularly which I think helped make the engine last so long but the engine never made noise it was dependable.
