Great vehicle
I have had a good experience with the Pontiac, and it has performed well. It has had few problems, but it has been relatively inexpensive in upkeep. I like that this car was fully loaded, and it has a good design. I get close to 500 miles on a tank of gas when driving on the interstate. Very sporty yet economical. I've had very little problems with my Grand Am, and I bought it in 2010. My overall experience with this Pontiac car is pretty good.

This is a reliable vehicle over the years.
The Pontiac grand am that I own is a very reliable car. I've had it for 9 years and it has driven quite well for its age. For example, despite its age the vehicle has maintained surprisingly well in terms of the shocks. From simple things like great space in seating to important things like exceptional head lights. Another surprising thing that lasted well after it should have is the A/C. The car had an impressive A/C system that never seemed to need recharged for the 9 years I had it. On the other hand, there were a few things that didn't hold out as well. For example, the vehicle had issues with the mother board in areas like its anti-lock breaking system. In other words, at times the vehicle would believe it was sliding on ice and would force the breaks to sputter. Although this wasn't a danger it was very irritating and surprising. Also, due to being such an old car the driver side window lost the ability to operate. Finally, the vehicle's speakers broke quite early in on me owning it. The result was only being able to hear music from the back of the car which caused issues when using the radio.

It's a mediocre car.
I bought this car used for my wife. Paid $8,500 from a private individual through E-bay. Car had 20,000 miles. The V-6 is nice, but seems to not be as peppy as the 85 was. This one has the spoiler, but no sunroof. Had to replace a power window switch first thing. Warranty work. One other issue is the starter sticks occasionally. We'll have to take that in before the warranty expires. Can't complain. Good car, great price and nice gas mileage. Power, I love the power this car has. It has shocked a number of the import tuner guys as I go blasting around them. Solid, reliable car. Looks great and performs really well. Definitely fun to drive and still gets good gas mileage.
