Affordable and reliable
Overall, this vehicle has given me my money's worth. I bought the vehicle with 49,000 miles in May 2014, and the vehicle now has over 120,000 miles. I have put this car through the ringer, and it has really held up above my expectations. I perform bare minimum maintenance on this car, and it still runs like it did when I bought it. My favorite part of this car is its fuel economy. I have driven over 300 miles during road trips, and the gas tank would still have 3/8 tank remaining. Aside from reliability and gas mileage, I really like that even though the car is small guests can fit comfortably. The main thing that I dislike about this vehicle is that it lacks trunk space, which makes it extremely difficult for grocery shopping and vacationing.

Uncomfortable
I originally purchased my Yaris because my family all have Toyotas and said that they were great vehicles. I liked the idea of the Yaris because it seemed like a mix between a RAV 4 and a typical car. It had the hatchback and was supposed to have great mileage. I liked the idea of having a hatchback for ease of use verses a trunk, as it's sometimes hard to reach back into a trunk to reach items, groceries in particular. I liked that the Yaris was a bit smaller and had a good turn radius. I had already decided on purchasing this car before going in to the dealership, which I see now was a mistake. I would have been much happier with a more typical car. I have now had my Yaris for going on two years and I wish I could trade it in for something different. As soon as I'm financially able I may do so. It is already having problems as far as brakes, and it is a very uncomfortable experience to drive. The gas mileage is also not what was promised. I drive at least 2 hours every day, and it is terribly uncomfortable for commuting. The seats are not comfortable, it is hard to reach the dash (radio) and it is very hard to reach the drink holders as well. The visibility of the car (front windshield) is not great. I even purchased a special coating to help cut down on the damage to the windshield and it is already starting to erode. It may just be that the car was a poor fit for me, but I have been extremely unhappy with this vehicle. I dread having to drive in it because it’s just incredibly uncomfortable overall.
