Cute, practical, low maintenance car
I purchased my 2007 Toyota Yaris new when my 2001 Toyota ECHO was almost paid off and nearing the point of needing to put money into it to pass inspection. My Yaris has 116,000 miles on it, and it has never let me down. In city driving I generally get 30-35 miles a gallon, and I can get 40 mpg on the highway in ideal conditions which is great for me financially. The maintenance that I've done has all been fairly typical: tires, brakes, and routine oil changes. I did have a hole in my muffler when I was around 100,000 miles, but it was not a difficult fix. I've had some small issues that have been easy fixes, for instance the rubber weather stripping beside the drivers window cracked, but I was able to order the part from Toyota and replace it myself. I had the serpentine belt replaced by a non-Toyota belt and it squeaks like crazy, so obviously, it doesn't like non-Toyota parts. The headlights are a little bit of a hassle to change, because you basically have to remove the entire bumper, and we always break the plastic clips. The last time we had to zip tie it back on. The hatchback Yaris looks cute and is very roomy inside, it's comfortable for long trips and I've had very tall friends ride inside and still comment that they did not feel squished. I also light the bright blue color, I never have a problem finding my car in a full parking lot. It's teeny so it zips around and it's easy to park, especially in tight city lots. For a little car it's great in snow and on ice, I've never had an issue and often surprise my co-workers that I make it with no problems. I have a little inflatable kayak that I can toss in the back and I've slept in the back comfortably when I was camping and it started raining.

Efficient, economical, reliable
The Toyota Yaris was a vehicle I had reservations when first purchasing. It was not flashy nor looked upon with love by anyone I knew. However, upon driving the car, I realized I'd made the right purchase. It met all my needs as a broke college graduate who needed a car to start his life.

They went above and beyond to find my first car. They got me setup with a warranty, came down in price, and spent a week finding what best suits me.
