My best friend.
The Impala is always the reliable vehicle we turn to for family vacations. The monitoring system always notifies me when I have low pressure in my tires or when it is getting close to time for an oil change. The leather on the front and back seats are still in tact, it could pass as new. With the car already over 150,000 miles you would think the transmission would be on its last limbs, but it runs like a pro and speeds up like a jet. The sedan is large enough for a full car offering spacious leg room as well as cupholders and electric sliding seats to easily position your comfort zone. The heated seats in the winter is probably my favorite thing about this car. You can adjust the temperature of the seats for a very warm tush, or just a little thawing out of the frozen leather you have to sit on. One thing that I find difficult when driving the Impala is the not so sharp turn it takes while trying to pull into a normal parking spot. The only problem we have ever had with the Impala so far is that the lightbulb in the front right headlight falls out a lot and just kind of hangs out in there.

Over the hill.
When I first purchased my 2007 Chevy Impala, I was pretty happy with it. It was a smooth ride, that had a luxurious feel at a reasonable price. The gas mileage was decent (I believe around 28mpg), and it was a solid vehicle for normal everyday commutes. All of a sudden, however, after about 5 years of ownership, it began to fall apart. The power steering pump and hose began to leak, there was a delay in the transmission when upshifting, etc. To be fair, it didn’t start giving me significant issues until I started a new job that required farther commutes, but no matter what we fixed, something else would mess up soon afterwards.

Leaky People Mover
If your goal is an enormous people-mover and stuff-mover that can keep a sleeping passenger asleep for the trip, this is your car. The Impala excels at interior and cargo room. With a trunk that can fit four full-size suitcases and a cabin that can seat 5 comfortably, this will get your people and their stuff where they need to go. The ride is exceptional, with a flat highway feeling like you're sitting in your driveway. However, do not plan on getting to your destination in a hurry. The V6 engine propels the cruiser from 0-60 in just under 10 seconds. Make sure you have extra fluids as the car will leak it all on the road.
