2008 Chevrolet Tahoe OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

Solid
My Tahoe has been a dependable and solid vehicle during my time of ownership. It currently has over 210,000 miles and does not seem to have any major mechanical issue with the drivetrain. The interior of the vehicle has held up well, especially with three young children. None of the leather seats are torn, and the dash is immaculate with the exception of one small tear on the upper dash vinyl from sun. The vehicle has no rust even after almost ten years. The third row seats are removable to allow for a huge cargo carrying area, unlike the newer Tahoes with electronic seats. I also have a 2016 Tahoe and prefer a lot of the 2008s features over the newer model. The cargo racks are easy to use and adjustable, again unlike the newer model. The vehicle rides smooth. So far, doing my own maintenance on the vehicle has been fairly easy, unlike a lot of newer vehicles. You can still change your own spark plugs, wires, belts, batteries, brakes, etc. Nothing is super-special or proprietary.

Pretty good vehicle
When in the market for a larger vehicle, I chose the Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ. I have had it for a few years now and have been for the most part satisfied. There are good things about the vehicle. The first is that it can carry up to seven passengers. Next is it has an DVD system, which is a plus if you have children. Also, when watching a movie (from the backseat), the children can wear headphones if they want and listen to the movie, while the driver (and front passenger) can still listen to the radio. This vehicle has a power sunroof which is nice. It also has power seats (that are also heated), power windows and locks. It also has a remote start, which is great. The remote start will adjust temperatures accordingly. If it is hot out and I remote start, the vehicle will cool down. If it is cold out and I remote start, the vehicle will warm up. It also has GPS navigation and Onstar. The back seats fold down so that you can carry more cargo. The back hatch is power, in that you can push a button on the back of the vehicle to lift the door or a button on the remote. It will tell you when you are low on gas or oil and also where a nearby gas station is located.

This car is perfect for my family and has three rows, which ensures everyone can sit comfortably. The numerous cup holders make hiking trips easier because everyone has a place to keep their water bottles. This car is neither too long nor too short; however, I would like if there was a sunroof included. The sensors in the trunk alert me when I'm too close to an object or about to hit something. This car is perfect for a family of six ( like mine), and I would highly recommend this Chevrolet Tahoe to any family. It wasn't too expensive either, which is good because I'm usually on a tight budget when it comes to buying a car. There were a few minor problems that I encountered with this vehicle; however, the pros far outweigh the cons. The seats of the car are excellent along with the stereo set. The drive is smooth, and the engine is perfect. Only problem I have is trunk space. This car lacks trunk space. The length of the car is short enough where I can easily fit in various parking spaces. The car isn't too wide nor too long, and the sensors in the back alert me when I'm too close to hitting something, which I love. Needs a sunroof.
