Fun Vehicle.
I loved the ride height of this vehicle, it was just a ton of fun to ride around. Very cheap as well, pretty good gas mileage, about twenty miles to the gallon and had a huge gas tank of 20 gallons. Great four wheel drive as well, super fun to off road. It had a reputation for flipping over but this was incredibly unwarranted, it was not made to drive like a sports car, it was always very stable for me. I once drove up on a snow bank to park when that was the only spot left in the lot, so it was very useful in that way. Could also seat four very comfortably.

One problem after another
Given that this is a 25 year old vehicle I expected to have to do a little maintenance here and there. I did not expect to be gambling on whether or not I'd need a tow truck to get home every time I started it and went somewhere. To begin with, it's ugly. But, I'm a disabled vet and very poor so looks are last on my list of importance. Soon after purchasing the alternator and battery both needed replaced. We went ahead and replaced all plugs and wires at that time. Air conditioner was disconnected. After connecting it, it started to die at random times. Sometimes while driving down the road. Once it would die it would need to sit for a couple of hours before it would start again. If just making a quick trip to the store you could not turn it off unless you were expecting to be there for a couple hours or it wouldn't start. Multiple mechanics shops and several parts later it still wouldn't run right. My dad replaced the starter and wiring which fixed that issue. The latest issue has been with the transmission over heating. On hot days you can not drive it at all without the tranny fluid boiling out of the reservoir, leaving me in a smoke cloud and no tranny until I've added fluid. Even after putting a new huge cooling reservoir on it, this is still a problem. Even on cold days, I cannot go on any trip more than 45 minutes away.

Best car for a family
Great truck all around thus far. Very comfy to drive. Although there is a good amount of road noise. Will take on about any obstacle. For a full-size SUV with a V8, the gas mileage is actually pretty good (about 15 mpg hwy). Plenty of space for anything you might need to do with it and short wheel base means tight turns and u- turns are easy. Def had some manufacturing issues with body and paint prep for that time period. Rust is very common around rear wheel wells and bottom of tailgate, which has caused issues with rear window and body movement (rusted quarter panels and not supported completely and will flex). I have wanted a Bronco for years. Finally got one and would buy another any day. My Bronco has 160,000 on it now. It tows my boat like a truck, hauls kids like a station wagon, off-roads like a Jeep and with the top off feels like an American muscle car. A Bronco can do many different things that no other vehicle can do. Given its not great at any, but very good at all. I plan to keep mine because it is a true sport utility vehicle.
