Lacey the Sport Trac
The thing I like the best about my Sport Trac is that I have the versatility of a truck and the seating room of a sedan. I love the bounce of a truck and the ability to haul stuff. The room makes it easy to cart my grandbabies around. The engine is quieter than I would expect on a truck of this age, but I also have an excellent mechanic. I like that the Ford is American made and affordable and safe. The only thing I dislike is as a woman, I am small and wish that the Sport Trac had the extendable foot pedals as my Mercury Sable did. I looked for two years for a jeep that fit all my preferences and budget and never found one. When I first considered the Sport Trac I was posed to dislike it, because it was not a jeep.... I was remarkably surprised at how comfortable it was to drive. The performance I have experienced as I have driven over the mountains and back repeatedly in the past year is amazing. The only problems I have had out of this truck was due to lack of care by previous owners

Great mid-size truck!
The Ford Explorer Sport Trac is a very reliable truck, from my experience. I get better gas mileage than expected (though still not great - it's a truck, after all) and the ride is very, very smooth. The inside has a ton of space for people and cargo. Also, I just like the general shape and look of the curves of the vehicle from the outside. The suspension feels a bit off, and makes loud rattles when going over speed bumps. Otherwise, the vehicle is in tip-top shape after 83k miles driven.

Reliable Ford product.
I purchased my sport truck 4 years ago from a used car dealer. It has been a reliable vehicle. Although it has required a lot of maintenance to keep it on the road. Like most fords they are not the best vehicles on the road but if you are on a budget like me this car will treat you well. I like how it has 4 seats and a small pickup bed to haul your junk around with. It has 4x4 but that broke and I cant afford to fix it. The back window is really cool it is power and is able to be opened to allow airflow on hot summer days. I would say if your looking for a cheap 4x4 to get you through any type of weather that good old mother nature can throw out you check out the ford explorer spot truck. You will have to look for a good used one because they don't make them anymore.
