Great Family Vehicle!
I love my Ford Expedition. It is a really nice looking vehicle and drives like a truck. We needed a vehicle that would fit our four kids and still leave room for luggage for road trips. We also wanted a vehicle with towing capacity for camping trips with a trailer when kids are older. The rack on top holds the surfboards nicely. The seats are wide a comfortable making road trips enjoyable. We've put 50,000 miles on our Expedition and it still drives like it did when we first bought it.

A great family SUV.
This is our second Ford Expedition and was purchased to take the place of our first one. This SUV is an excellent choice for families with small children. The flip and fold seats allow for easy access to the third row seating, which can accommodate three car seats across the third row-something a minivan doesn't usually allow. The middle row can also accommodate three seats across. The leather interior and the dark colored carpets are also ideal for families because they are easy to clean when life's spills happen.
This SUV handles beautifully. The steering is more responsive than some mini vans I have driven. The large windows and the mirror within the rearview mirrors give you a good vantage point all around the vehicle and help to minimize blind spots.
The ride in this SUV is smooth and quiet, especially for such a large vehicle. Most minor potholes and such are barely noticeable. Road noise is limited, and the interior does not squeak, rattle, etc. like some cheaper vehicles.
We have used this vehicle to transport a full size sofa. If you fold the third row (which is a power fold) and place the center row seats in cargo position, a full size sofa will fit. When not carrying passengers, the cargo area is very large-close to equivalent to a pick up truck bed.
The one less positive aspect of this vehicle is the storage capacity when all three rows are in use. I can squeeze my side by side double stroller or my tandem double stroller into the back cargo area behind the third row, but just barely. It leaves little to no room for any other luggage or sports equipment we need.
This vehicle does guzzle gas with us averaging about 17-18 mpg, but since we'd need to take two smaller cars to accommodate our large family, it is cheaper in the long run than driving two cars.
Overall, we would buy this vehicle again and have recommended it to friends!
