Comfortable, spacious, lots of storage, classy
I really enjoy the comfort of the seats, as well as the ample leg room. I have leather seats which are so easy to clean! I think the addition of the dvd player has added quite a bit of enjoyment for my passengers. I never worry about something breaking, or needing replaced inside the vehicle- everything is sturdy and well made. I feel very safe in it, and I would buy another one if we needed to. I love the smooth ride, even on rocky surfaces, I love that there is very slight outside noise pollution. I have driven this van in the snow, and it handles very well. I don't feel any slippage ever, and it gets up to speed within seconds. I have had only minor repairs and have not had to replace anything that a local mechanic friend couldn't handle for under a couple hundred dollars.

Reliable van
This van has been very reliable for us over the years that we have had it. We purchased it with cash, so it made this an easy transaction. The van has plenty of room, and the storage in the back is great. I like that you can fold down the back seat into the floor, but I wish the two bucket seats would have been stow and go. The van did not have cruise control and is one of the things that I really disliked. Overall, this is a good van for everyday use.

Great cargo and passenger capacity; not great gas mileage.
The Ford Freestar was an improvement over the Windstar because the third row of seating folds down rather than having to be removed and left at home for vacations. It handles well for a vehicle of its size; the gas mileage leaves something to be desired. In a hilly area, 11-14mpg in the city is typical; on long highway trips, about 23-26mpg is achievable.
