Unexpected Road Warrior
The 2006 Hyundai Sonata looks like a basic four door sedan, but outperforms in nearly every way. I work for the National Park Service and took it with me on five cross-country drives without a single problem. I also lived in some crazy places and it rarely had a problem on dirt roads. The traction control was great when I was living in Colorado during the winter, only failing at the point when four wheel drive was absolutely necessary. It’s also unexpectedly handy for driving through deep sand as well. It handles like a sports car and the engine is big enough to be fun. In the nine years I’ve owned it, I’ve only had to replace the brakes and the spark plugs once and they were right within their warranty. I also had an issue with the coolant system, but no mechanic has ever been able to figure out what’s wrong. The sound system is fabulous, but my model did not have any extra plugs for devices. It was 2006, so that would have been a luxury add on instead of a standard purchase. It’s lasted well beyond what I originally would have thought, and I’ll be extremely sad when it’s gone. It’s a great car!

Satisfied
It has been a reliable vehicle meaning it has not broke down and has needed few repairs since I bought it. I like that his has a sun visor because it makes it look sporty without having to pay the extra cost of insurance that a sports car would cost. The visors and cup holder have broke and the console in the middle is lose.
