Very reliable, inexpensive car
I bought this car as a second vehicle, one to drive back and forth to work. It quickly became one of my favorite cars.
I've owned everything from cars to trucks to SUVs. None of them had the comfort of this car. The front seats feel like they are molded to your body. There is plenty of leg room as well! I am 6'2" and my son is 5'9". He can sit behind me, and we will both be comfortable.
The Air Conditioner is the best I've ever had on any vehicle. It would cool the interior of the car in just a few minutes.
I really like the trunk space as well. I never had a problem fitting everything we needed when we went on a trip. We would normally carry 6 big suitcases, the roller ones, plus a few smaller bags, any time we went on a long trip. The trunk on my Sonata always held everything.
The reliability of this car was outstanding. I bought it with 31,000 miles on it, and traded it in with over 300,000 miles. I never had to do anything except regular maintenance. This sonata completely amazed me. I will be buying another.

Great value, reliable
Very reliable, have driven 120,000 miles with no major mechanical problems. Interior is laid out well with lots of room. The trunk space is adequate. XM satellite radio comes standard with trial membership at no additional cost. Exterior design in appealing and simple. Overall a good buy for the price.

Practically carefree maintenance
The Hyundai Sonata is an extremely reliable car. I have owned the car for seven years, and it runs great in extremely cold or hot weather. It is a light-weight vehicle, so it gets good gas mileage. It handles very well in city traffic as well as highway. The ride is very smooth and enjoyable. It is a very responsive breaking system. The car is easily service at a reputable station so no need to pay the ridiculous prices that the dealer charges. I love that it has not required any major repair or mechanic repair. That is very impressive. Considerations that you should factor in when deciding whether to purchase a Hyundai Sonata, is that the car is extremely light weight. On very blustery days with high winds, the car feels as if the wind is moving the car especially at high speed. Fortunately where I live, high winds are not a common occurrence, so it really is not a big issue. The Sonata uses a special type of tire that does tend to deflate in very cold whether. I have had to get air pressure checked and have tires inflated. The dashboard alerts you to this. This does not happen frequently but it has been an inconvenience. The only service that it requires are breaks. The brakes that came from dealer where shot completely after only 10,000 miles/two years. Some of the interior details have poor quality after time. For example, the hand rail that is never used back passenger seat just fell down and some knobs have fallen off the hand rest. Another plus is that the car comes with Hyundai road service for free for five years, so no need to have triple AAA. I only had two occasions to use their road service: lost keys and left interior lights on overnight, drained battery. Both times, Hyundai roadside service arrived in under 30 minutes and had me back on the road in no time.
