Older Kia.
Although its a little older, this car was designed with a lot of comfortable features. None of them are considered cutting edge, but all of them together create a rather comfortable environment. As a tall person, I appreciate the ample leg room, and the ability to sit upright without bumping my head on the ceiling. The dash is not digital, which makes the driving experience seem a little more "legacy" than it needs to, but it does not look archaic either. The faux silver trim is an applique, which blisters and peels away far too easily, cheapening the appearance of the trim. An oversupply of faux wood grain also tends to cheapen, rather than benefit, the ambience of the drivers compartment. A very good stereo with an adequate CD player, but no factory-original MP3 or USB port. A very large trunk provides enough storage-even enough for my wife, who packs way, way too much stuff for even a modest overnight adventure.

Not for DIYer
It is pretty luxurious: leather seats, sun roof, etc., but a lot of these features are buttressed with plastic trim or plastic covers. When these plastic parts break, they cannot be easily repaired by any one other than a paid mechanic. Head lamps and tail lights are another thing that should be easy to fix but require a paid mechanic for parts and labor. These two traits make the car less desirable than I had anticipated when I first purchased the car.

Kia Amanti
Affordable commuter car that I came across and really enjoyed. It kind of looks like a Mercedes-Benz as well. Great power and space in a rather underrated sedan. It's worth a look if you're in the market.
