Mostly great and a lot of fun
This car is a lot of fun to drive. I've had it for a little over two years now, and I still get a rush out of really pushing down the gas pedal and feeling the acceleration. I really like when I feel the MIVEC kick in, and the car really gets going. It has a solid build. It feels solid. It doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart or shatter into pieces if I hit a pot hole. There are some minor bugs that need fixing every now and then. The A/C unit only works on certain fan settings, and there is an issue with the ABS (which is a known issue Mitsubishi is trying to fix), but overall it's my favorite car that I've owned.

Don't bother with an Eclipse
The Eclipse is a slightly-unattractive "sports" car for teens and adults who have not purchased a new car since they bought/received it as a teen. The major problem with this car is that it's so low to the ground. I'm fairly tall and have such a hard time getting out of the car. Do not buy if you're tall! You'll look like the Mr. Incredible in that blue car. However, in spite of the flaw of the height, the price is so low that it compliments the overall attractiveness of this car.

Excellent build and no problems in the 4 years I've owned
The car has excellent quality, in the four years I've owned it. I've never once experienced a problem with the exception of the A/C going out, which I've not yet gotten around to fixing. With the back insert and the seats down, there is plenty of room for storing things. The hatchback is nice for things that don't fit well. I've not had to sit in the back, however I've been told it is exceptionally uncomfortable, so I would not suggest this car for anyone with more than one other person. For two of the years I owned this car, I lived down a dirt road and have never had a problem with the suspension, which is surprising considering how low it sits.
