Sporty Compact Car
When I first went to go look at cars, the Jetta was not on my list, but it stood out to me in particular. Visually, the Jetta is stunning to look at. The front grille was what made me notice the Jetta in the first place. The Jetta definitely has the European look that many people like in cars. The Jetta is very unique and unlike any car I've ever driven before. There are so many standard features in the Jetta that even some 2015 models of other brands don't have. When I took this car for a test drive I instantly fell in love with it. The ride was really smooth for a 7 year old car and the steering response was impressive. It even has a sport mode that really makes the car move! This is a FWD car and it's easy to forget that, I've squealed the tires a few times on accident, the Jetta is always ready to move. This is a compact car, so it might not be right for some people. I'm 5' 8" and I have no issues getting in or out of the car, I could see maybe someone over 6' having trouble getting into and out of this car. The trunk is surprisingly roomy for a small car, and the back seats, as well as the front passenger seat fold down to give you even more room. I was impressed with the versatility of the Jetta. I'm a college student and was able to fit all of my stuff into my car by folding down all the seats for the drive home. The engine on the Jetta just sounds amazing, so powerful for such a little car, I love just listening to the idle and the engine in general. I've had this car almost 3 years now and haven't had any major issues with it besides the alternator which is starting to make squeaking noises, mildly annoying but I'll get that fixed soon. Overall, the Jetta is a great car for someone looking for something small, fun, and fast.

First and probably last VW I will own
I have owned my GLI for about four years now, and I personally have put 110,000 miles on it. I bought it from a Volkswagen dealership with 10,000 miles on it. When I first saw it at the dealership, I wanted it immediately. It is metallic silver with tinted windows and the machined 17" alloy wheels. The GLI distinguishes itself from a traditional Jetta by having the larger alloy wheels, a front spoiler under the front bumper, the GLI badge on the front grill of the vehicle, and a sporty lip on top of the trunk in the back. My vehicle came with a turbo charged 2.0 4 cylinder engine that makes it very fun to drive, and an automatic transmission with pedal shifters on the steering wheel as well as the option to shift over to manual mode, where you can control when the vehicle shifts. The interior of the GLI comes with leather, heated seats, Fender premium sound system with subwoofer, cruise, power windows and locks. Overall, the GLI is loaded.

Good car
I bought it slightly used off of a lease. It is a manual. Seeing that less and less models offer manual transmission nowadays, this car's offering was attractive. It isn't powerful enough to push you back to the seats, but it has adequate power for passing. The gas mileage is great. The sound system isn't as great as I hoped on a car that costs $30K.
