Great car at a great price
I love my Chevy Traverse. It has all wheel drive which is great getting around in the winter in Iowa, especially living out in the country. I like that I am up higher than in a car but not as high as a truck. Having 3rd row seating was important to us since we have a family. We had a bench seat in the middle, if I had to do it all over again I would definitely get the captain's chairs. It is easy for an adult to slide the bench seat forwards and back but not easy for a child (my 13 year old can't do it). I have dark interior which I love, it is easy to clean. I wish that the holders for the floor mats weren't so cheap though, after about a month half of them had broken off. As with an vehicle with sliding seats, the tracks fill up with food and toys which is really difficult to clean. Does not come with blue tooth for your cellphone which I couldn't believe. Radio controls as well as cruise control are on the steering wheel which is super convenient. Overall this vehicle is really comfortable and works out great for our family. I have never had a car that gets around so easily especially in the winter. I plan on getting another one in the next few years.

A car that disappoints
I traded in my Chevy Trailblazer for the Traverse with the statement I would "love it even more." The salesman could not have been more wrong. While I liked several of the features that came with the car, such as heated seats and On-Star, the car itself has numerous flaws, which Chevy will not address or fix. To begin, the blind spots on this vehicle are huge. Even with the additional side view mirrors, it is very challenging to see cars to the rear since the back panels are really large. Also, the seatbelt casing has fallen apart. You can still buckle, but the outer shells have broken, making it look horrible and making it uncomfortable to sit or lay in the seat on long trips. There is an issue with the airbag sensor on the passenger side that Chevy would not fix without a large sum of money. The front steering column has multiple issues in every car in this year, though Chevy will only replace the fuel pump rather than the actual problem. The mechanic told me it's in all the cars but charges $2,600 to repair, even though Chevy is aware of the issue. He stated he believes there will be a class-action lawsuit against the company if a recall is not issued. That's all well and good but could take years and isn't fun for a working-class family who doesn't have $2,600 to throw around. The car battery is placed behind the passengers seat inside, making removal and replacement very difficult and expensive. Finally, several places of the carpet have come unglued and cause tripping hazards. While I loved my Trailblazer and thought I had a good company in Chevy, this car has soured me to the point I will never purchase another Chevy of any type. The company itself has done nothing to address the needed issues or show concern about the safety of it's buyers. The price of this car is way too high to have so many mechanical flaws.
