The MX5 has always had the reputation of an enthusiast's car: small, lightweight, and easy to toss around. So when I got the chance to own one, I jumped on the chance. And I was not disappointed. The car lived up to its reputation as a fun driver's car. While not a horsepower monster, there was definitely enough under the hood to keep anyone entertained. For such a small car, it felt remarkably solid, though it comes with its fair share of creaks and rattles. As long as you know what you're getting into with one of these, the car is a great.

My 2008 Mazda Miata is one fun ride. The small size means easy to handle and fun to drive. The size also means this car goes light on the gas. In the summer taking the top down is the best way to travel but in the winter the top also works great to keep out the weather. Repairs are few and far between. This car just works.
