It's a reliable vehicle
As a first vehicle it is great, simple and reliable. It has decent gas mileage and has not broken down thus far. The interior is very basic and does not have any luxurious items whatsoever. The vehicle performs well on the street and on the highway but will leave you embarrassed if you ever try using it as a race car, evidently because it is not one. Overall it is a very solid first vehicle but eventually it will get very boring to drive it, even if driving is not your passion.

Best starter car.
This was my first vehicle as a high school student, and its such a great car I'm passing it on to another family member. Overall it's spacious enough. I got the hatchback which is great if you have a dog and or take small trips. This car has been all up and down the east coast with me and my friends. Many road trips in all sorts of climates, from mountains to valleys, beaches, farmlands, dirt roads, you name it. This car has been everywhere. It gets used a lot by the family as a great gas saver & all around errand car as well. With regular maintenance and mostly highway miles due to so many road trips its never ever had an issue or broken down. Not once. I love how fast and zippy it is, it'll get you where you want to go for sure. I think this car would make an excellent car for a young person who's just starting out, the price point is fantastic, and it doesn't feel cramped you can have 4 adults in it comfortably. It's clearly more of a city vehicle but it holds its own if you have an adventurous side as well.

2008 Nissan Versa a lot for a little.
The 2008 Nissan Versa hatchback will not ever be mistaken for a great-looking car. I never thought it was an ugly vehicle, but a lot of people did. What the Versa did have was plenty of power in it's 1.8 liter four-cylinder motor and six-speed manual transmission. The only downside to the smaller engine is that even with the six-speed transmission at interstate speeds, the engine revved a lot higher then I like, but it never seemed to bother the Versa or the MPGs that much. On average, the Versa got around 30-33 MPG. Another high point to the Versa is the interior was surprisingly roomy at 6ft. I could sit in the back behind the driver seat with it set to where I would have it at to drive and my knees did not touch the back of the seat. This car will seat four adults easy with room for a child in the back, plus plenty of storage in the hatchback. The rear seats also lay down for more storage when needed. The interior itself isn't anything special. It did have a six-disc cd player, and the audio sounds really good. The interior was really quiet also not a lot of outside noise made it into the cabin. For an entry-level car, this car is great and at a great price. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a dependable small car with great MPG and plenty of room for most anything you will need.
