The car is fairly dependable, especially given its age. It runs and sometimes gets random things wrong with it but once they are fixed, it still runs well. It handles well and is very responsive. It is roomy on the inside and it is comfortable. It looks stylish as well. It has handled driving through farm fields and has also helped me be able to transport large items such as my surf board. It has had the window mechanism replaced multiple times on all windows and as of now, only the passenger side window works. I think this may be due to faulty equipment from the manufacturer. The hood is rusted, and it's the only model I've seen with a hood like this so I'm not sure why this happened to my car. Little things have started to wear out in the interior. The A/C knob broke off and has the be changed with a pair of pliers. The knob for changing the A/C settings also broke off. The casing around the ignition broke off as well. The heater doesn't work but the A/C works very well. Also, the battery had been dead for a few weeks and I jumped it and it started just fine.

I purchased my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix used with 45,000 miles on it. Eight years later, the car has 130,000 miles on it, and it still runs great. The engine is quiet, and the ride has always been quite comfortable, no matter the distance. One downside is that the fuel economy at around 17 MPG city and 28 MPG highway is just so-so. Additionally, there are some performance limitations; the vehicle slides a little bit in the snow.

Bought it from my mother shortly after she bought it since she got a new car, and we've rarely had to take it in to the shop since we got it. Runs wonderfully, little issues with it in the large amount of time we've had it. AC has conked out, though may just need to be recharged, an the ABS tends to really jolt the car a bit if slowing down more quickly than average from fast speed, particularly on the highway. Also, the front bumper can scrape on curbs, have discovered that many times. Beyond that, very smooth running.
