The minivan to have
I haven't had a minivan in 30 years, but with four grandchildren to transport, it was one of the options I had. I test drove a few but settled on the Odyssey. I drove different levels of Odyssey, but the higher end with the leather seats was definitely more comfortable. One of the deciding factors was the removable eighth seat and the magic slide seats. It is so easy to reconfigure that middle row even my five-year-old grandson can move his seat where he wants it. The seats are easy to accommodate four car seats. The back row can easily flip down to make room for more storage. I love the large screen in the front and the fact that it can all sync with my cell phone. The maps appear on the large screen and are easy to see. One of the features I haven't figured out is the automatic door locking system. Sometimes it looks itself, and sometimes it doesn't. It gives you multiple beeps if it's not locking itself, but I can't figure out why it does sometimes and not others. The other feature with a glitch is the sliding door. Sometimes if the car is running, the door will not close, and you have to turn the car off, close the door and restart the car. I also like the blind spot indicator. The whole time a car is in your blind spot it is illuminated on the door panel. If you put on your turn signal to pull out and that is illuminated, it beeps to warn you.

Perfect family car
This is the perfect family car that we love to take on all of our road trips. We opted for the Touring model for a few of the additional features not available on the lower models. We love the built-in navigation system as well as the touchscreen interface on the dashboard. We have the flip down DVD for the kids and love that it has the headphones that allows us to play our own music through the speakers while they listen to their movie via Bluetooth headphones. The ability to remove the middle seat in the second row and create two captains chairs is an amazing bonus for a family. You are able to slide the captains chairs forward or across for easy access to the third row. There is ample trunk space even when the third row is up, which we didn't find in a mid-size third-row SUV. We are able to fit both our double stroller and the single stroller with room to spare while the third row is up for more seating. The van drives incredibly smooth and doesn't feel as large as it is. It navigates and turns effortlessly. It gets decent mileage for a car of its size. The bonus feature of the built in vacuum in the trunk is something I never knew I needed in a car. I am able to clean up the kids messes or the dogs fur anywhere that I am. Lastly, we have the back row camera so that we are able to see the kids and what they are doing without needing to turn around and take our eyes off the road.
