I chose this car after test driving similar makes/models, including the BMW 3 series and Audi 4. The Volvo had a much higher quality interior and felt much more spacious. Of the three vehicles, the Volvo and BMW felt similar in power, but the Audi had noticeably less pick-up. Also, the BMW and Volvo had a similar solid feel in their construction. At higher speeds, the Volvo had the strongest acceleration responsiveness. At similar price points, the Volvo also offered more "luxury options," like sun roof, leather seats, heated seats, and wood trim. Technology was similar in all three, but the Volvo had additional safety features, such as their proximity override when something crosses in front of the vehicle. In city driving, I have had the vehicle automatically brake when a dog or child has darted out in front of the vehicle. I have been driving this car for almost four years, and I have been very happy with the quality. I have not had any mechanical issues other than scheduled maintenance, and the car drives just as well today as it did when I bought it in 2011. My only critique of this car is that the leather driving seat, which gets more wear than any of the others, has worn faster than I would have thought it should, and it shows scuffs that affect the look of the interior.

I loved my Volvo!
I owned a 2002 Volvo s60. As a person who really, really dislikes white colored cars, my white Volvo wasn't that bad looking of a car. It had the black trim or accents on the sides that really pulled the look of the car together. It was spacious inside, although I can easily say that as I was always sitting in the drivers seat. I've had many people as passengers in the back seats complain that there was no leg room. I've had to sleep in the back of the car and I believe they had what was called bucket styled seats? But they were really shallow in the middle which made it extremely uncomfortable to sleep in. I wouldn't recommend doing that. And of course since I bought the car used it had its troubles. The computer part of the instrument panel stopped working maybe a month after I had bought the car. It was a cool feature to have as it told me what was going on with the car but it randomly would scramble up until the day it stopped working completely. I loved the layout of the inside of the car though. My mother owns a newer Volvo and they have certainly made huge improvements over the year. Overall its a great car and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Safe, reliable, and a nice-looking car
This car is great on gas. Very safe to drive and loaded with safety features. This car has been garaged, one previous owner with meticulous garage/repair records.

Driven: 2020 Volvo S60
The Volvo S60 was completely redesigned for 2019, and now packs a luxurious interior and a variety of solid powertrain choices. The new Volvo lines up against a crowded field of European models but it will match well with young buyers and people seeking a sporty but affordable premium sedan.
