Dependable truck.
The 1998 Chevy C1500 has been a very dependable truck for me and my family. We bought it cash and have owned it for 3 years with no major issues. It has been a tough truck and even though it is 8 cylinders I could not tell. It has plenty of pick up and go. Everyone in my family enjoys the truck. My boys are bigger in size and they have a hard time finding a vehicle they can fit comfortable in. They fit comfortably in the 1998 Chevy C1500. The only small issues we have had is the door latches and pins wearing out. This is a small issue for us considering the truck is almost 20 years old. We drive it around town all day in a southern state and even in the summer we have never had a problem with it overheating. I have owned many cars in my lifetime and I would have to say this is my favorite. It is the oldest vehicle we own and the other 3 are broke down. No matter if it's a long ride or a short ride; I do not worry about being stranded anywhere in this vehicle. If something does happen to this truck you can be guaranteed I will be looking for another one.

Awesome truck.
This truck was the first truck I have purchased and I have nothing but good things to say. Yes, it is older, so I have had to do some work on it, but it is incredibly comfortable, has more than enough power for what I need and seems to always be up to the task. On top of that, the paint jobs on these trucks are superb and they always seem to shine once cleaned up a little. The body style on these trucks are excellent and look great. I have even had people tell me they look like a 2018 model when I have them cleaned. I have to imagine they would be safe vehicles as well. The 350 vortec motors have a great reputation and often perform up to the task. Further, they are straightforward to work on and parts for these trucks, including but not limited to, the motor are always readily available and quite affordable. The seats are comfortable and some of the best from this year model truck. They are easily customizable with extra things such as exhaust, lift kits, and much more. Add some newer rims and nice aggressive tires and the truck will be aesthetically pleasing to all. They are not the best on gas mileage, but it still is not too bad considering the size of motor and year of the truck. It is just a few miles per gallon less compared to more modern trucks, and I believe that is saying something about how impressively well made these trucks are. Many of my friends own several vehicles just like this and they have bought them because of how impressed they are by my truck.

Great vehicle
I bought a used Chevrolet 1500 with the 5.3l. This pickup had almost 200,000 miles. For that many miles in the state of Minnesota, the vehicle has absolutely zero rust. With how cold it gets in Minnesota in the winter, the pickup started right up and has never given me trouble. The interior is in great shape for the miles. No rips in the seats or holes In the floor. Everything works great from the power seats to the radio. Only thing I don't like is the buttons on the radio do tend to no work properly. A better quality radio would be nice. Other than that, it's your typical high mileage vehicle has a few rattles and things that need attention but runs great.
