It's Ok
I really like how well the vehicle handles in the snow, and I love how much space it has compared to the car I had before. It has been great for long road trips. I also like that I can take friends and kids easily in this vehicle. The reason that I only think that it's ok is that we've had to have it repaired several times. We've had a lot of issues with the alternator. It was replaced with a factory refurbished one when it gave out, and the repair guy said that the alternator's made for the Traverse aren't that great, but that he would replace it for us. Lo and behold, the next alternator died in four months. We had that one replaced with another factory refurb, and it was dead within three weeks. We've since gotten a brand new alternator put in it and haven't had any more troubles.

Traverse NOT
I would not buy this car again. We have had all kinds of problems with the A/C, motor mounts and back hatch door. Some of the problems were fixed under to warranty. I do not drive the car very much and the warranty ran out because of time, not miles, so I have a car that has 40K miles and the A/C died. Since the warranty had expired, we had to pay a lot of money to have the A/C fixed. We have a 1998 Toyota Camry which has never had any A/C problems. It is actually cold in the Camry during a very hot summer day. I would not buy this car again. How does the A/C just die when the car has 40K miles? It cost us thousands to fix the A/C.

I love my Traverse
When I had a 4th Child I needed a vehicle with a third row. I don't like minivans, I wanted 4 wheel drive, and I did not want the gas mileage to kill my budget. Price was also a factor, and I was very happy to find the Traverse.
