Great Car, Small SUV
I liked the gas mileage and the storage space available for a small SUV. It performed well, to my liking. Shortly after I purchased it, the brake rotors had to be replaced. This was keeping in time with the age of the vehicle. There is some space concerns in the back seat, specifically with fitting my child's car seat comfortably in the back seat.

I love this car
My mom bought this car sometime in 2006-2008. She drives about 200 miles each day, to and from work, so she needed something with good gas mileage. She drove it until it had about 220,000 miles on it. She loved this car, then she passed it on to me when she bought a new one. Even though it has so many miles it's still in great condition. Obviously we had to replace things from time to time but you would have to do that with any vehicle if you drove it as much as it's been driven. It has this really weird thing in the middle on the ceiling which we named "moon light". I honestly have no idea what it's for because it doesn't give much actual light unless you hold your hand directly under it. I love this car and am happy to have it now.

A Perfect Daily Driver for Comfort and Convenience
I am very happy with the fuel economy of the car, which is even now at about 26 miles per gallon, which is particularly nice given its storage size and its year of manufacturing. The space of the vehicle was a special draw to it; it has the storage of an SUV within the size of a small sedan. In the four years I've owned the vehicle I have not dealt with any electronical malfunctions, nor any major engine malfunctions, and the only work I've needed were minor sensor replacements and typical wear and tear maintenance. Now with a child in tow, I can fit a stroller and my music gear in the trunk space and leave plenty of room for a car seat and diaper bags in the back seat. A spacious middle ground between a cramped car and a gas-sucking SUV. I have 170+ thousand miles on the HHR and it drives beautifully with no noticeable hitches. My wife is a fan of the styling; it has the look of a more modernized 1930s sedan. This has been by far the most reliable and convenient vehicle I've ever owned, and has never let me down on my daily 30 mile drives to and from work. It is a practical choice for me as a driver, and doesn't require that I give up space or comfort for fuel economy, which makes me, a taller man, very happy. Overall, a spacious, reliable vehicle with decent fuel efficiency and nice styling. A solid little car that I'm very happy with!
Pros: Space, reliability, fuel economy given storage
Cons: No roof rack, stereo speakers are weak, not great for country terrain
