Good, but not great for the price.
Overall, this isn't a bad vehicle but it also isn't great. I like the way it drives and it is comfortable. However, we live down a dirt road and it rattles a lot when driving up to our house. I have had issues with the SIM card not working randomly and then randomly deciding to work again. Shortly after we got it I had to bring it in and have it looked at because it was having mechanical issues; they replaced a part and said sometimes the part just sticks on new vehicles. Now it has an issue with the lock on the drivers side back door... it sticks. It takes several tries of unlocking and locking and unlocking to be able to get the door open which is a hassle because I have three kids. I am really unhappy that they haven't figured out a better way to access the 3rd row. We had the same issue with the previous 2014 model we leased, but my husband doesn't want a minivan so we decided to just stick it out until our three kids can fit on one seat (they can't right now because of car seats). So my eight year old (still in a high back booster) has to climb in through the hatchback; I get some looks from people sometimes probably wondering if she is just sitting in the 'trunk' while I'm driving. I like the dashboard display and I really love the new heater/AC controls compared to the 2014 model. It also has a good amount of trunk space - even with the 3rd seats up most of the time I still feel like I have enough for what I need to haul. I also really like the button to open the hatchback; it's easier than the 2014 model we had before. I haven't used the remote start yet but I know from the 2014 model that I will enjoy it when it starts to snow.

2016 Ford Explorer and why you need it!
This is my second Ford Explorer. I originally had the 2013, and it was great. There were a few issues with it, as it was the new body style. The Bluetooth was not perfect with Apple products, and it would not connect when you had navigation active. Those issues have been fixed with the 2016 model. I cannot speak highly enough of this vehicle! It fits our needs and exceeds them. We have three children and also three large dogs. We have travelled in it with the third row down and had the dogs in the back. There's always plenty of room. It has so many amenities. You won't miss a thing. Heated and cooled seats, moon roof, great sound system, blind spot monitoring, rear-view camera, and the thing that you click to open the trunk when you have groceries. Oh. Did I mention remote start for those cold winter mornings??? Size, gas mileage, comforts, seriously...there isn't a better vehicle for the cost.

Great family car
I have been driving this car for about 4 months now and I love it. It fits all five of my kids, including three in car seats as well as all the luggage we need for a weekend getaway. We can even pull the four-wheelers along behind us. My favorite part of the car is the amount of room there is behind the back seat. I can make my big shopping trip, a common occasion for our household of six, and fit everything behind the back seat. My previous car I had to leave some of the kids home or I couldn't fit groceries. The fuel economy is awesome. I average 23 miles a gallon driving mainly in town with only a bit of freeway driving. So one tank of gas gets me more than 300 miles!! I recently took a road trip alone and was able to turn on the radio and cruise control, it was such a pleasant ride that 5 hours later when I arrived I was amazed that I was there already. I normally hate riding in the car so this is a big deal. Also it is a cute car, even my teenage daughter likes it and wants to take it for a drive. Haven't had this car long enough to talk about reliability but my previous ford had almost 200,000 miles on it before we traded it in.
