Poor Man's Sports Car
The Mazda MX5 Miata, though not inexpensive when purchased new, can indeed be the ultimate "Poor Man's" sports car. While it may not be able to compete with more powerful cars, like the Corvette, when it comes to horsepower and speed, or with exotic cars like Ferrari, BMW or Porsche, for pure driving fun, it can not be beat. Older cars, such as my 1999 model, can be had for very little money, and if well taken care of, can still provide many more years of driving fun. I bought mine from a lady who was the car's original owner. She took very good care of the car, and it looks almost new, even though it is 18 years old.

The greatest roadster for a greater price.
The Mazda Miata is an adorable convertible that is great for living in Southern California. It has a small engine, but it also doesn't weigh much so it doesn't take much power to get it up to higher speeds. It is a two seater vehicle with great reliability and is extremely easy to maintain. It has very old technology. It handles extremely well and is especially good at tackling winding hill roads.
