A fun little machine
My little Miata has given me years of entertainment. If you enjoy driving, this is the kind of car you should be looking for. Its not the fastest out there, but its got enough pep and thoughtful engineering to peel out from a stop, slide around a corner, or just taking a relaxing drive on a winding road. It's definitely not practical for many reasons, but if you're the only one relying on the vehicle it will serve you well!

The Mazda MX5 Miata is a classic car. Some people love it, and some people hate it. But I love it. It's a manual, and my model is about as basic of a car as you can get. I love that about it. The car is fun stock, but it has lots of room for improvement. There are many websites and forums full of products for upgrading nearly every aspect of the Miata and not just for the NB. I personally have lowered the car, which made for a better center of gravity and increased ability to take fast corners. Cornering is one of the biggest appeals for Miata's, since they are tiny and have a great turn radius. However, as a daily, the car also has its flaws. On the highway, the car is insanely loud, and it revs way high at 70MPH and beyond. It's definitely not meant to be driven daily on the highways but are several ways to improve sound dampening in the cars as well. I haven't gotten there with modifications yet, but it's in the plans. I would highly recommend the Miata to people wanting to learn how to drive a stick shift. They're incredibly forgiving and easy to drive. They're also fun, although impractical if you need to haul big items often. They're also definitely not targeted toward mothers or people with lots of children. At least, not as a daily driver. It's a nice weekend car for most people or a track car, if you're into that kind of thing. The Miata has so much potential for personalization, and that's one of my favorite things about it. It's great, and I love it.
