Used Cars for Sale in Elk Grove, CA

Don't attempt to move your car between 7-9 a.m., 11:30 A.M. To 1 p.m., Or 5-7 p.m. As it will be a frustrating exercise in futility. There are several photo-controlled red lights at busy intersections; watch for them as the fines are steep. Signage is good and you can trust MapQuest, Siri or Google for directions. Most drivers here are courteous and follow traffic rules and appreciate others doing likewise.

There is a major auto mall on Elk Grove Blvd. Where most brands are represented with new and used car sales, plus leases, and facilities for service. The auto mall is at the southern end of Elk Grove, accessed directly off of Elk Grove Blvd., About 1/3 mile from Hwy. 99. A Car Max facility is also open just north of Elk Grove.

Elk Grove is served by two major California freeways, one of which bifurcates the town into "old" and "new" segments. In the 15 years I've lived here, I've seen the "new" segment transform from nearly rural to a very busy community with serious traffic congestion problems. While the city was incorporated 15 years ago, it has experienced phenomenal growth, from a population of approximately 60,000 people to nearly 170,000. However, it is still served by only the two main boulevards that predated the city's incorporation. I live very close to one of these boulevards, and my favorite memory is driving that street when it was still essentially rural, lined with live oak and flowering pear trees and NOT choked by traffic 24/7. It was still possible to enter and exit the street without sitting for 2.5 Minutes at a light, and still possible to drive one mile to one of the main freeways in under 15 minutes. Unlimited growth may make good economic sense for the city's coffers, but it definitely decreases the quality of life for its inhabitants.

Laguna Park Dr.. Laguna Park Drive is one of the main streets I use in lieu of the heavily-traveled boulevards to get from my home to shopping areas. Its path leads through neighborhoods which are well-landscaped, where the homes are well-kept and attractive, and where, except for school times, there is not much traffic.

Being aware of the photo cameras at major intersections is probably the most important issues to know about. There have been many cars that have gotten their picture taken because of these lights. Making sure that a person makes a complete stop before turning to the right is one of the reasons why these cameras catch people in their cars with tickets.

There is a major car dealership in town here. There are many brands of cars from Toyota, Ford, GM, BMW, Chevrolet and Nissan to select from. I feel rather comfortable buying from a dealership rather from high ranked used car lots because there is a credibility factor that I rely on when I purchase a car. Buying from a dealership makes me feel secure that when the purchase is made that the paperwork necessary to update car insurance and the proper forms submitted to DMV has been done.

My favorite highlight from driving in Elk Grove is finding a new coffee shop. Since I am retired there seems to be new coffee shops opening every couple of months or so. I like to frequent them and taste test the different coffee bean aromas. But I especially like this one Starbucks coffee shop because of the excellent customer service that I receive there.

Laguna Blvd is one of the best roads that I like to drive because it is wide and has 4 car lanes to drive on. It extends from the newer portion to the older portion of town in Elk Grove.. Laguna Blvd is my favorite road to drive on because it is a safe road. It has many stop lights at major intersections and the speed limit isn't too high. Making sure that the speed limit is within the means of being safe both for the drivers and the pedestrians crossing the street is important to have.
