My Malibu served me well for 10+ years. I finally sold it recently because the engine cradle and steering rack needed to be replaced. I have found, through my research on Google, that this is a fairly common problem with late 90s-early 2000s Malibus. Always had good gas mileage. The car was difficult to start without cranking over the engine or failing to start completely. The car also noticeably shook when on the highway and reaching speeds of 70 MPH+.

Felt like a lemon
The Malibu was drove wonderfully, all the electronic windows and gauges worked. That is until I took it on a road trip, around 2,000 miles. After getting home it had an overheating issue. Only to end up being a cracked head that had apparently been remedied with some blue devil so I wouldn't notice until it was too late. The heads busted and 2000 dollars later the car ran nicely.
