Used 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD for Sale

I bought this truck as a used car from an online website. The truck is a 2002 2500HD Silverado with the 6.6l Duramax engine. I purchased the truck in the Fall of 2011 only because I was given a large camper that my previous vehicle would not tow. This truck is a powerhouse, in which I have not found anything yet that will stop it. Like I mentioned before, it's the 6.6l Duramax engine and I have it straight piped so it's loud. One of the reasons I really love my truck is that it is an attention getter. I get a lot of compliments on it, and take very good care of it. Being that It is the Diesel HD (Heavy Duty) model, replacement parts are more expensive than regular parts, and to find a mechanic that works on a Duramax engine is few and far between. Another good thing about this truck is the fact that since it is Diesel, the engine will outlast the body of the truck, if taken care of. I have had to replace the Allison Transmission already, at a cost of just under $3000, and if the injectors fail, that will be another $6000 fix.

Great truck. Runs good, although in the cold it runs rough until warmed up. Had a issue with the ABS sensors, and they had to be replaced. Also have a issue with air bag light on, code reads electrical fault for driver side sensor. Other then those couple issues, the truck runs great with lots of power and comfortable riding also. I love the looks of the truck and the color. Truck has great heat and air conditioning. My truck is fully equipped with power seats and they work great.

My pickup has captain seats which I love, they are extremely comfortable and can be adjusted to fit me just right. I love that my truck steers with such ease, I don't feel like it is moving all over the road. This pickup has an incredible amount of power, in fact I pull horse trailers full of horses with it and it never misses a beat, never gets hot going up hills and never fails to have the get up an go that I need. This truck also gets very reasonable gas mileage one the highway loaded with horses 16MPG.This truck is well build and tough as nails, I have backed into several things and hardly made a scratch when compared to other vehicles I have driven it has caused some damage. I love that this truck is tough enough to use for ranch work and long hours spent on the highway traveling, yet looks classy enough that I can drive my work clients around in it and not have to feel the least bit embarrassed. One definite downfall is that it is only an extended cab and doesn't provide as much room in the back seat as I would like so I would advise buying a 4 door. Another downfall is that it has plastic on the body near the wheels, I would have preferred it to be chrome or something a little bit fancier.
